Our Story
From a 1995 studio on Mill Avenue to magazines, television, digital platforms, and AI-enabled businesses—944 has always lived where culture and technology collide.
Born before the playbook.
944 Media opened in 1995 at 944 Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe, across from Arizona State University. Founder Mark Gorzen came out of ASU’s School of Intermedia, where fine art met the first wave of digital media and the emerging internet.
That blend became the operating idea for everything that followed: understand the culture, learn the technology, and make something people actually want to experience.
From web studio to media brand.
Early website and motion work grew into national recognition, 944 Magazine, and Destination TV. The work moved across print, television, events, nightlife, fashion, travel, branding, and interactive media—always with the same instinct to connect story, design, distribution, and business.
The next chapter is operational.
Today, 944 Media develops and supports a portfolio of platforms and operating companies. Through iCDRM, we add custom apps, SaaS products, AI integration, automation, and on-site business systems to the creative and growth disciplines that built the company.
